New Japanese Version of the Ethics Code Published

Osaka_Museum_of_Natural_History2ICOM NATHIST is extremely happy to announce the newest addition to translations of the ICOM Code of Ethics for Natural History Museum. We are very grateful to Dr. Daisuke Sakuma, Senior Curator with the Osaka Museum of Natural History, who did the translation. It is the first Asian language translation of the Code and brings the work of ICOM NATHIST on ethics to a new audience.

This translation project was spearheaded by ICOM NATHIST Board Member Dr. Osamu Kamei, head of the Center of the History of Japanese Industrial Technology with the National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo.

This latest work is part of an effort to disseminate the Code as widely as possible. A number of other languages, including French, Chinese and Portuguese are currently in production.
